Affliction could be the look of mayhem, what with its surging popularity with avid fans of mixed martial arts, tattoos and heavy rock music.
But it was in a quiet, antiseptic office park in Seal Beach, about 30 miles south of Downtown Los Angeles, that the fashion label chose to debut its latest store on June 4. The new store's address happens to be on the real estate of Affliction’s headquarters. While it maintains a fleet of 7 stores in locations ranging from Las Vegas to Moscow, Affliction opened the store in an office park because it had the room in its headquarters, said Tom Atencio, the vice-president of marketing, and because it wanted a lot of space to show its wide range of brands such as Sinful, American Customs, and Remettee.
Celebs like Randy Couture, the mixed martial arts champ, Dominic Purcell of former Fox series Prison Break , actress Bridgetta Tomarchio were all on hand to check out store debut’s art show,car show, tattoo parlors and performance by rock band The Black Cloud Collective, a project of Brandon Saller, drummer for metal band Atreyu. Yowza!
