Zobha Joins Kellwood
Mill Valley–based yoga and fitness brand Zobha was acquired by St. Louis–based Kellwood Co. Founded in 2008 by Jamie Hanna, Zobha was named for the Sanskrit word for “grace, beauty and brilliance.” The men’s and women’s collection of apparel, accessories, and yoga and fitness gear sells in 350 retail stores in 27 countries, as well as online at Zobha’s e-commerce site (www.zobha.com) and at yoga studios and fitness clubs. The acquisition marks Kellwood’s first foray into activewear. Kellwood, which is an affiliated portfolio company of Sun Capital Partners Inc., owns a number of brands, including Vince, Adam, Rebecca Taylor, Blk Dnm, Baby Phat, Phat Farm, Sag Harbor, Briggs NY, Jolt, My Michelle, XOXO and David Meister.
