Pepsi...and Coke In The Store Window

The Coke versus Pepsi wars will never be over. Their latest battlefield: Kitson.
The high profile pop culture/fashion shop on Robertson Avenue produced a big event for the 125th anniversary of Coca Cola in May. It was studded with appearances from actors such as Chace Crawford, Coca Cola drinks were passed around the party and prominent T-shirt label Junk Food made a vintage Coke tee for the occasion.
In mid-July Pepsi carved out its own space at Kitson with a prominent window display for its Pepsi Throwback campaign. Think T-shirtsbearing images from the soft drink label's 1980s advertising campaign “You Got the Right One Baby”which featured pioneering soul musician Ray Charles.
Oh yeah, along with the T-shirts, and Pepsi-flavored lip balm, eco-friendly, re-usable bags with Pepsi logos, there is the central reason for this marketing hullaballoo. It’s a celebration of Pepsi Throwback. It is the Pepsi recipe made with real sugar. Pepsi been sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup since the 1980s. Drink up.
On Aug 1, the Pepsi Throwback window display will move to Kitson’s Santa Monica location.
