"I'm With the Brand": Custom Boardshorts Part II + Vans
In follow-up to our (hypothetical) Apparel News boardshorts last year, Santa Monica-based custom shorts maker Shortomatic bro-hugged with Vans to spawn Vans Powered by Shortomatic. The template is Vans’ Era Classic boardies that follow similar style lines of the brand’s iconic shoe. The custom possibilities: awesome and super awesome.

The breakdown is it comes in the super soft 14% four-way stretch performance boardshort fabric, 16 color options, 6 customizable patterns and 4 vintage prints. And you can do the two separate legs. And two different back yokes. And a pocket. And add a patch! And they will have different limited edition artist prints, the first one by Neil Blender.
Another option to overwhelm you more than choosing a burger at The Counter, you can also choose different leg lengths. Show off those knees boys.
And don't forget that you can still head over to Vans' shoe section and get a pair of Era lace-ups to matchy match or mis-matchy match with your custom shorts. Oh yeah, we did that too.
