Macy's Passport Names Cee Lo Green as Headliner
Macy’s annual fund-raising shindig at the 85-year-old Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles will be hopping with the music of singer and songwriter Cee Lo Green.
The artist will be headlining the 29th annual Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama at 8 p.m. on Sept. 23. The show will be hosted by Pauley Perrette, who plays Abby Sciuto on the television show “NCIS.”
Also set to perform is electro-pop quartet “Far East Movement,” known for its debut album, “Free Wire.”
Basketball star Magic Johnson and actress Sharon Stone are scheduled to introduce a “Tribute to Dame Elizabeth Taylor.” The late Taylor had been a frequent presence at previous Macy’s Passport events.
The star-studded evening includes a fashion show. This year, brands lining up to show their collections on the runway include Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse, Tommy Hilfiger, Tracy Reese, Armani Jeans and several other top labels.
The fashion show and entertainment fest raises money for AIDS Project Los Angeles and Project Angel Food. An after-party will take place at the nearby California Market Center.
