MRket Returns to New York With Upscale Menswear
NEW YORK—The MRket trade show, organized by Business Journals Inc., returned to the Jacob K. Javits Center in Midtown to showcase its roster of upscale and contemporary menswear brands as well as footwear and accessories.
Kicking off the show on July 17, a crowd of well-dressed buyers was greeted with looks that ranged from refined suiting to rugged outerwear to classic casualwear for the Spring/Summer 2012 season.
Scott Apgar, national sales manager for New York-based Roffe Accessories, which represents brands such as Format, Joseph's Cloak, ABS by Allen Schwartz and Los Angeles-based English Laundry met with department stores such as Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. Apgar said that bold dress shirts that hint at casual with branding neckwear fabric in the collars and cuffs by English Laundry were one of the biggest successes for Roffe.
Also returning was MRket's Vanguards Gallery which features a curated group of up-and-coming, emerging brands.
