Good Shepherd Center Makeover

Interior designer with impeccable taste, Vanessa De Vargas had us at her blog titled, “New Obsession: Staffordshire Porcelain Dogs.” So when De Vargas along with Vanessa Kogevinas rallied her friends to redecorate 30 rooms at the Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women Children, the result can only be amazing.

The charity project was a 3-month process in which 30 interior designers transformed dorm style rooms into happy living spaces (through donated product and cash donations) for the residents of the Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women Children in Los Angeles. Think of it like the interior design version of Dress for Success, the organization that provides professional clothing to economically disadvantaged women.

On July 23-24 from 11am-3pm, the designers will be on hand to show off their rooms. I'm hoping that touring the spaces will feel something like the gasping-hand-over-their-mouths in those home makeover shows. Or the audience freak-out in Oprah's Favorite Things episodes.
