Bruce Weber Shoots '39;True Grit'39; Star for Miu Miu

Hollywood’s influential spotlight continues to spill over into the fashion world as two of Tinseltown’s newest “It” gals land starring roles in global fashion campaigns.

Super 8 star Elle Fanning took some time out recently while in post production on the films We Bought a Zoo and Twixt to shoot a fashion campaign as the new face of Marc by Marc Jacobs. Older sis Dakota, who modeled for Marc Jacobs in the past and is the brand’s controversial current poster girl for its Oh Lola perfume, probably pulled a few strings for 13-year-old Elle, who nevertheless steals the spotlight in the promos for the label’s Fall 2011 collection.

Fellow teen actress Hailee Steinfeld hit the bull’s eye right out of the gate after scoring an Oscar nomination for her breakout big screen debut in 2010’s True Grit. And the 14-year-old fashionista makes an equally credible presence with her debut fashion campaign for Miu Miu’s Autumn/Winter 2011 campaign. Legendary art and fashion photographer Bruce Weber, who currently moonlights as Abercrombie Fitch’s ad manager, shot the stylish scenarios -- which segue from fun and carefree to rustic and radiant-- with Steinfeld, who had previously been spotted in Miu Miu designs on the red carpet, and at the label’s runway shows.
