JCP Closes Stores and Catalog
Plano, Texas–based J.C. Penney Co. Inc. will close six underperforming stores; shutter its catalog and outlet businesses, including closing 19 outlet stores; and streamline its call-center operations in an effort to realign the company’s resources to focus on “its highest-potential growth opportunities.”
