Saks to Shutter Denver Store

New York–based Saks Inc. will close the Saks Fifth Avenue store at the Cherry Creek Mall in Denver in March.

The 87,000-square-foot store opened in 1990. About 100 associates are employed at the store, and all have been offered transfer opportunities or employment separation packages.

This is the seventh Saks Fifth Avenue store the company has closed since July. Saks also shuttered its Saks Fifth Avenue stores in San Diego and Mission Viejo, Calif.; Southampton, N.Y.; Portland, Ore.; Charleston, S.C.; and Plano, Texas.—Alison A. Nieder
