WGSN Moves to the California Market Center
WGSN moved its West Coast headquarters from Hollywood to downtown Los Angeles, where it has taken a 1,500-square-foot space on the 11th floor of the California Market Center.
Sally Lohan, WGSN’s head of content for the Americas, continues to lead the office, which is located in CMC suite C1137.
Lohan will also continue to host WGSN trend-forecasting seminars at the CMC during the Los Angeles International Textile Show, as well as trend-oriented retailer seminars throughout the year. The CMC is the anchor showroom building for the Los Angeles Fashion District. In addition to the biannual textile shows, the building hosts Los Angeles Fashion Market five times per year, the biannual Majors Market for department-store buyers and other trade events.
It has been a busy start to the year for WGSN’s West Coast division. Earlier this month, WGSN acquired Denimhead, the Los Angeles–based denim and casual-sportswear trend-forecasting service founded by Jill Perilman.
“With our recent acquisition of L.A.-based Denimhead, the launch of our dedicated interiors product WGSN-HomeBuildLife and our heightened commitment to the juniors market, now is the right time for WGSN to move to an office that is in the heart of Los Angeles’ fashion district,” said Steve Markov, president of WGSN. “The California Market Center was the obvious choice to house our West Coast team.”
WGSN has a subscriber base of more than 36,000 customers around the world. The company is based in London, with offices in Milan, New York, Hong Kong, Seoul, Los Angeles, Melbourne and Tokyo.
