True Religion Hires Retail SVP
Vernon, Calif.–based True Religion announced that David Chiovetti has joined the company as senior vice president of North America retail. The position is a new one at the premium-denim maker. Chiovetti, formerly the vice president of stores at Guess and Guess by Marciano, has been tasked with refining and improving upon True Religion’s domestic retail operations.
“David’s appointment to the True Religion apparel management team marks an important step in our company’s evolution,” said Jeff Lubell, True Religion’s founder, chairman, chief executive and chief merchant, in a statement. “His proven track record of executing growth plans while maintaining strict cost controls will prove invaluable as we expand our U.S. Consumer Direct business while maintaining our targeted margins.”
True Religion owns and operates 94 branded retail stores domestically and seven branded retail stores internationally in countries including Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany and Canada.—Erin Barajas
