Award season in L.A. means plenty of glamourous affairs all leading up to the big show—the Academy Awards ceremony at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
With the Oscar buzz being felt around town, a weekend of stylish events will get you in the mood to grab a little gold guy and work on that acceptance speech.
The Swapholics are feeling Academy Award-inspired and hosting a “Green the Red Carpet” shopping event where attendees can swap and shop on Oscar eve at the Catchlight Studios in West Hollywood. Organizers Melissa Massello and Amy Chase are asking participants to bring bags of like-new and gently worn clothes, shoes, accessories, handbags and jewelry. Admission prices are $20 presale or $25 at the door.

On the big night, a few of L.A.’s most fashionable—stylist Monica Rose, fashion blogger Geri Hirsh of Because I'm Addicted, and Refinery29’s West Coast Editor Kate Mulling—will be hosting an Academy Awards viewing party at the Whiskey Blue lounge in the W Hotel's Westwood location.
