Strong Turnout for WWIN
Nearly 850 booths comprising 1,500 lines packed the Womens Wear in Nevada show, held Feb. 14–17 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Attendance was up slightly from last year. “It was by far the best-attended show we’ve had,” said Roland Timney, one of the event’s organizers.
“The show was excellent,” said Sam Far, who, for the past six years, has been attending the event to sell his Los Angeles–based Adore womenswear label. “We were swamped.”
Lynne Andresevic, owner of the Crayola Sisters showroom at the California Market Center in Los Angeles, has been attending WWIN for years. “It was a good show for us, a little bit better than last year,” she said. “Everyone was looking for Immediates. I wrote very few Fall orders.”
Skirts, pants and novelty socks were some of the hot sellers for Andresevic, whose showroom carries a number of lines, from Ozone Socks to Fresh Tea embellished T-shirts.—Deborah Belgum
