Gen Art Returns
Sandow Media—publishers of 944, NewBeauty, Worth, Luxe Interiors + Design and Interior Design magazines—plans to relaunch Gen Art, the fashion, film and art nonprofit that shuttered last year. Sandow purchased Gen Art in December and recently named former Gen Art executives Elizabeth Shaffer and Jeffrey Abramson as the new co-presidents. (Shaffer was previously senior vice president of events and creative director, and Abramson was previously senior vice president of Gen Art’s film division.) The relaunched Gen Art will debut in June with the Gen Art Film Festival in New York. Sandow Media also plans to reinstate Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion show in September at New York Fashion Week.
