Wacoal Launches iPant
Wacoal’s new iPant shaper claims to do double duty by slimming the waist, hips and thighs by reducing the appearance of cellulite on the body and creating a smaller silhouette under clothes. According to Wacoal, the company is the first in America to use “Novarel Slim” technology—a nylon microfiber constructed with tiny porous capsules that contain caffeine, which, the company says, increases blood flow and has fat-burning properties.
During the times that the woman is wearing the iPant, the natural friction created between the wearer and the garment releases the active ingredients (caffeine, Retinol, Ceramides, vitamin E and aloe vera) infused into the fabric.
The product is claimed to “visually reduce the appearance of cellulite from your waist, hips and thighs” after 28 days of wear.
The technology remains effective up to 100 washes and, over time, claims to visibly reduce the appearance of cellulite. The iPant will launch in a 16-inch, long-leg style, which provides moderate control shaping in the rear and thighs. A high-waist version will launch in May.
“With the introduction of the iPant and use of the newest technologies available, Wacoal furthers the brand’s reputation in the intimate-apparel industry of offering women superior quality and the latest in intimate-apparel innovations,” said Bob Vitale, executive vice president of marketing and sales for Wacoal America, in a statement.
