ANG Buys Kooba
New York–based Accessories Network Group LLC acquired the rights to the Kooba brand, founded by Creative Director Abbe Held in 1998. Held will remain with the brand, which ANG plans to grow internationally. Kooba—which manufactures handbags, small leather accessories and shoes—launched in 2010. ANG holds handbag and accessories licenses for Bebe, Bisou Bisou, Nicole Miller and LeSportsac and produces its own brand, Ghurka.
