Tonight, Big Shopping Event in WeHo, Fashion Society Pops Up

West Hollywood shopping always was pretty good, but it became red hot over the past few years, what with top flight designers such as Alberta Ferretti and Vivienne Westwood coming to town and high fashion shops like Arcade setting down stakes.
And tonight, December 7, WeHo’s premier fashion district The Avenues will launch its shopping street party Jaguar Presents Holiday Shopping Celebration on Melrose Avenue stretching from Robertson to Orlando from 6PM to 10PM.
Get ready for store parties and some deals.In the case of pop-up boutique The Fashion Society, some items will be discounted 75 percent.
Designer Donna Mizani and a business partner Keira Guez debuted The Fashion Society in November. It is located at 8618 Melrose Avenue, the former address of high end lingerie and erotica shop Coco de Mer.
Along with showcasing the Donna Mizani label, The Fashion Society spotlights new and up-and-coming fashion and accessories designers, such as Dawn Baker, Naven, Cohesive Co., American Vintage, Closet Rich, MK Totem and Rich In Clothing.
The Fashion Society’s debut run will end Jan. 4, but Mizani is thinking about producing future Fashion Society Shops quarterly. “The whole point is to make fashions move,” Mizani said.
And if you miss tonight’s fashion Avenues party, The Fashion Society will host another store party from 7PM to 11PM Dec. 15.
