Look Into the Camera and Give Me Your Best Fashionista
If you haven't uploaded a video for WikiFashionista.com's Street Style Video Contest, you need to know that Jackie K. just got her 15th Facebook "Like." Just like the latest trends, you should be on top of these kinds of things or you'll be wearing an "out"-fit. And no fashionista wants that.
The contest, which started Aug. 15 and runs through Sept. 16, is calling for submissions from the site's subscribers that reveal the true fashionista within. The compilation of videos are being used to launch WikiFashionista's new "Fashion Street Style" video section which features short clips following actress Sarah Power around the high-fashion streets of LA, accosting women who embody the company's domain name.
Ok she's not going to accost them, even though that would be hilarious. (I can see it now: a footrace between two women, both wearing Shiekh's 5"-plus stilettos offered as part of the Grand Prize. Do we have any popcorn?) Her mission is to interview these fashionistas as they stroll LA's hottest destinations for up-and-coming trends.
Since being killed off in Saw V, Sarah has been all over your television--even if you didn't Red Box the David Hackl film. Having been featured in five TV series and a made-for-TV movie coming out this month, webisodes were an inevitability. Sarah's the key to this contest so look her up!
WikiFashionista has already uploaded five episodes since Sarah started out in mid-July. Watch 'n learn. You have to be Sarah in your video but you also have to be the fashionista. In your best get-up, you'll record yourself talking about your outfit--without exceeding the two minute limit. Picture yourself on the red carpet under the critical glare of Joan Rivers. Who are YOU wearing?
I already told you the bad news: people are already voting for the videos that are up now. But here's the good news: your competitors are showing you their cards! So keep your poker face on and you can come up with something truly original.
Ok if I deal out any more information I'll have to start charging commission. But I leave you with one final cliffnote: You might note if you watch Sarah's videos that she almost exclusively reports from the Beverly Center. Just saying.)
