Hot Topic Shuffles Executives Again
In the wake of the news that longtime chief executive officer Betsy McLaughlin has resigned, City of Industry–based Hot Topic Inc. announced that Amy Kocourek, chief merchandising officer of its Hot Topic division, has left the company. Her duties will be assumed by new Chief Executive Officer Lisa Harper. The mall-based retail chain also announced plans to shut down its ShockHound online music site (www.shockhound.com). And it will report sales figures quarterly, rather than monthly, beginning in the third quarter of fiscal 2011.
