Here Comes The Euro-Bikers
EuroPapi recently opened in Laguna Beach
Anyone traveling down a California freeway knows the traditional biker look. Think well-worn jeans, a Harley Davidson T-shirt and a big leather jacket, which provides padding against nasty crashes and road rash. If you have not gotten used to it, here’s some news, this look will be around forever.
But there are alternative biker looks, and designer Rolando Ortiz made the most recent one. On Sept. 20, he opened a Laguna Beach, Calif.-based boutique for EuroPapi. It’s his line of jackets, T-shirts, jeans and caps for influenced by one of Europe’s favorite sports; the Grand Prix motorcycle racing scene.
In line with that scene’s styles, EuroPapi’s biker look offers a slimmer fit and of course more colorful palette than the classic American biker look. The store is located at 777 S. Coast Highway in Laguna Beach and it offers retail price points ranging from $10 to $750. The line started in 2008 and it also runs a store in Spain.
In Los Angeles boutique news, fashion forward accessories store TENOVERSIX will be moving from its longtime Beverly Boulevard digs to 8425 Melrose Avenue, close to the high profile Melrose boutiques for Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen. Ten Over Six opens its Melrose doors on Oct. 1. Much luck in this new space!
