Paris Hilton Gets a Do-Not-Enter Card from Japan
Poor Paris Hilton.
First, she pleads guilty in Las Vegas earlier this week to misdemeanor charges of drug possession and obstruction of an officer. Then she gets denied entry into Japan to promote her accessories collection.
Not a good week for the celebrity who is renowned for sitting in the front row of various Los Angeles fashion shows.
According to news reports, Hilton was stopped by Japanese immigration officials on Tuesday from entering the country at Narita Airport. No reason was given.
Hilton was on a three-city tour through Asia to promote her handbag and accessories line and open a new Paris Hilton store in Jakarta, Indonesia. Jakarta was to be preceded by stops in Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was unclear if Hiltonwould continue her tour.
Her public relations representative, Dawn Miller, said in a statement: "Paris was contractually bound to her business trip and didn't want to let down her brands and many Asian fans. She intended on fulfilling her contract and is trying hard to do the responsible thing, but this is beyond her control."
