Fluevog Debuts New Building
Canadian footwear designer John Fluevog opened a second San Francisco shop Sept. 16 at 253 Grant Ave. in the city’s Union Square district. Fluevog purchased the four-story building where the new boutique is located. The first floor houses a John Fluevog boutique. The other three floors are devoted to gallery space. The first gallery show will include art from Fluevog Creative, the Vancouver, Canada–based company’s initiative to cull new talent in print-advertising ads.
The designer opened its first San Francisco boutique at 1697 Haight St. in 1997. Fluevog runs 11 boutiques in the United States and Canada.—Andrew Asch
