ENK Hires New Footwear President
Reebok alum David Kahan has been named president of the ENK Footwear Group, a division of New York–based show organizer ENK International, which produces the WSA and Sole Commerce footwear trade shows. In his new post Kahan will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to grow the Las Vegas–based WSA show and the New York–based Sole Commerce show as well as finding “new footwear opportunities” for ENK, a release from the company said.
Kahan will be based in New York. ENK said it has “reorganized its footwear show management and sales teams to be managed by Mr. Kahan from ENK’s headquarters in New York.” Dana Rosenberg, a spokeswoman for ENK, said the WSA/ENK office located in Encino, Calif., will remain open.
“ENK intends to be as integral to footwear as we are to fashion. We have found a leader who brings a comprehensive view of footwear that complements ENK’s historic fashion roots. We are proud to welcome David to ENK,” said Elyse Kroll, chairman of the board of directors, said in a statement. “David has earned the respect of the industry over the years for his vision and accomplishments. He will be instrumental in creating the right strategy for ENK and will grow the company’s footwear business globally.”
