Sullen Debuts iPad Catalog
Huntington Beach, Calif.–based action-sports brand Sullen debuted the industry’s first iPad catalog application at the recent Action Sport Retailer Trade Expo and MAGIC Marketplace trade shows. The custom app allows buyers to flick through the brand’s virtual line sheets for its men’s and women’s collections as well as check out image galleries and videos of Sullen’s sponsored athletes, models and musicians. With the iPad’s magnification options, buyers can opt to see a detailed, close-up view of each piece—something that paper line sheets don’t allow for.
“We want to be first movers in style, art and best practices. The application was a huge success for us on all those levels. The technology allowed our sales reps to better interact with our buyers and allowed us to show the brand story in a way that immediately provides a gateway to our culture and marketing profile,” said Jeremy Hanna, Sullen’s co-founder and director of marketing, in a statement.—Erin Barajas
