Orange County residents will get a double dose of fashionable nights out in the coming weeks. For Fashion’s Night Out tomorrow, Fashion Island in Newport Beach will host an appearance by Lo Bosworth of MTV’s “The Hills,” fashion shows at Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s and informal modeling at Nordstrom. And then just around the corner starting Sept. 27, Irvine Spectrum Center will host its annual Style Week Orange County.
During Style Week Orange County, appetizer-like store events (promotions and mini-parties) are planned throughout the week starting Sept. 27, which will lead up to the main course of fashion shows, VIP parties and competitions held on Friday, Oct. 1 and Saturday, Oct. 2.
To kick off the weekend, Project Runway alum Nick Verreos and David Paul will present a runway show of their Spring 2011 Nikolaki collection on Friday, Oct. 1. On Saturday, Verreos will be back as part of the judging panel for the “Needle Thread Design Competition” where seven FIDM graduate designers were asked to create five looks for the surf/skate line Ezekiel’s Spring 2011 collection. The winning designer will have his or her work featured in the collection and Ezekiel will follow up the competition results with a showcase of its Spring looks.
