L.A. Fashion Week Spring 2011: CMC Contemporary Runway Show

Five lines with showrooms in the building unveiled their Spring 2011 collections, which ranged from sporty tops to sophisticated dresses.
XCVI, whose Roman numerals translate into 96—the company was founded in 1996—paraded comfortable knits with a rustic look that was feminine and earthy.
Blue was the predominant color presented by Mavi, which means blue in Turkish. Mavi is known for the fit of its organic denim shaped into pants, shirts and dresses for this catwalk presentation.
Voom by Joy Han is a regular on the runway with her colorful dresses that flatter a woman’s body and are fun to wear. Designer Joy Han didn’t disappoint with her striking colors and silhouettes.
New to the apparel world was Soraya by Rozi, Designer Rozita Soraya Ezzatian, who graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising last year, used bright colors, draped silhouettes, and fabrics of silk and satin for an elegant look for women ages 16 to 35.
