L.A. Fashion Week Spring 2011: Mondo Guerra at the L.A. Millinery Guild
“Project Runway” contestant Mondo Guerra showed a handful of colorful designs to close the Los Angeles Millinery Guild’s Spring 2011 show, which included hat designs from 14 millinery designers. Held Oct. 15 at the Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, the event featured fanciful hats from designers such as Sonrisa Leigh, Diego Castro Hats, Allison Parson Design, Bijou Van Ness and Gladys Tamez. Guerra, who is one of the four remaining designers in this season’s “Project Runway,” showed playful circle skirts, a striped T-shirt with a strong shoulder and body-conscious dresses with prim collars.
