L.A. Fashion Week Spring 2011: Balthaczar
Balthaczar believesin dresses for Spring but not prints. Each of the brand’s 15 looks, shown Oct. 16 during L.A. Fashion Weekend at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood, relied upon ruffles, fringe, embroidery, color-blocking, chains and volume for a touch of visual interest. The designers showed a perfectly understated Little Black Dress, a flapper-esque mini-dress in bright red and a bridal dress bedecked in pert ruffles.—Erin Barajas
