Jones Turns 40, Changes Name
As it celebrates its 40th year in business, the New York–based manufacturing giant formerly known as Jones Apparel Group changed its name to The Jones Group Inc. The new name was selected to reflect the company’s portfolio of lifestyle brands, which includes Nine West, Jones New York, Anne Klein, Rachel Roy, Robert Rodriguez and Stuart Weitzman. The company’s common shares will continue to be traded on the New York Stock Exchange under its ticker symbol, JNY.—Alison A. Nieder
