Divine Design--Mark Your Calendars!
Last year's honoree "Mad Men" star Christina Hendricks
It’s that time of year again—the time when you can shop like a celebrity (or, for those of you attending the opening-night gala, you can shop with a celebrity...or two). And it’s all for a worthy cause.
Divine Design kicks off on Dec. 1 with its swank opening-night gala and stylish awards ceremony. The shopping event, which raises money for Project Angel Food, will run through Dec. 6 at the former Robinsons-May building next to the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
This week’s honorees include Kelly Osborne, who will receive Woman of Style award, and interior design pioneers Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. Brooks Brothers will receive the corporate humanitarian award and will present looks from its Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers collection in a runway show emceed by “Rachel Zoe Project” stylist Brad Goreski.
Divine Design raises money for Project Angel Food, the Los Angeles–based nonprofit that feeds men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Project Angel Food and its 1,500 volunteers deliver more than 13,000 free meals every week.
And then there’s the shopping. The 30,000-square-foot marketplace features fashion, beauty, gift, home and accessory merchandise from labels such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, 7 For All Mankind, Barbara Tfank, Barbie, Brooks Brothers, CC California, Calvin Klein, Catherine Malandrino, Diane von Furstenberg, DKNY Jeans, Elizabeth and James, Fred Segal Finery, Hanky Panky, James Perse, Jonathan Adler, Kate Somerville, Kenneth Cole, Kiehl's since 1851, Kneedler Fauchere/Gregorius Pineo, l.a. eyeworks, Liz's Antique Hardware , Macy's, Marc Jacobs, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Monique L'huillier, Nanette Lepore, Nicole Miller, Nine West, Polo Ralph Lauren, Ports 1961, Rose Tarlow Melrose House, Smashbox, St. John, Steven Alan, Stuart Weitzman, Svenska Mobler, TableArt, Tadashi Shoji, The Avenues, Theory, Tom Ford, Tommy Bahama, Trina Turk, True Religion, and Tulle.
