Dishing Up Sample Sales for the Holidays

We're still eating Halloween candy but the buzz around the Fashion District is that there will be sample sales galore just about every Friday until Christmas Eve.
The California Market Center said it would be holding weekly Friday sample sales starting Nov. 5 and wrapping up Dec. 17. The buying will begin at 9 a.m. and wrap up at 3 p.m. Some of the showrooms on the sample sale list include Voom by Joy Han, William Rast and Kensie.
Across the street at The New Mart, the sample sale spree will start on Nov. 26, the day after Thanksgiving, and go full blast every Friday until Dec. 24, Christmas Eve. "If you have merchandise to sell, and people will be off on Christmas Eve, you're going to have a sample sale," said Roni Eller, The New Mart's spokesperson.
The Cooper Design Space is also organizing its schedule of sample sales, with sales starting Nov. 19 and running through Dec. 17. No sample sales the day after Thanksgiving.
So if you want some high-end merchandise at low-end prices, you might want to stock your purse with plenty of cash since many showrooms only take the green stuff.
