Stop Staring! Launches Retro Activewear
Even rockabilly girls need workout clothes. A preview of Stop Staring!'s new activewear line.
There’s a contingent of stylish individuals that wear their hair as if they just rolled out of bed, put on something that was on the floor and another thing that was draped over a chair, then walked out the door looking effortlessly hip. The women at the Stop Staring! party on May 21 are not those women. Looking this sharp requires work.
Their tresses are in meticulous barreled curls, and strokes of eyeliner and crimson lipstick is precisely painted on. The hourglass-figure dresses by Stop Staring! hold their spines into rigid, proper uprightness.
Hairroin salon in Hollywood was filled with beautifully coiffed dames such as these on May 21 to celebrate the launch of Stop Staring!’s activewear clothing line. Designer Alicia Estrada conceived of the line with her personal fitness trainer, Amie Nicole, who just released a new workout DVD titled “Fit To Rock.” The workout clothing is a combination of Estrada’s retro-meets-modern style and functional activewear fabrics. Stretchy knit shorts have sailor button details, and Capri pants are trimmed with red and white candy cane-like striped ribbon.
