Premium-denim line J Brand has named a new chief financial officer, who will be working with the company’s new investors. Efthimios Sotos’ appointment to the Los Angeles company took place immediately. Sotos comes to the company from Metropark USA, a Los Angeles retailer, where he was chief operating officer and chief financial officer. In February, Jeff Rudes, the company’s co-founder and chief executive, sold 60 percent of J Brand to Los Angeles private-equity company Star Avenue Capital for $85 million.
