Wal-Mart Settles Environmental Case
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. agreed to pay a $27.6 million settlement resulting from charges that the retailer violated California environmental laws. The retailer was found to violate the state’s laws regarding transporting, storing and disposal of hazardous materials, including pesticides, paint, fertilizer, chemicals and motor oil.
