Mikey Koffman, founder of The Gallery Los Angeles showroom, can appear to be a tough cookie, but she showed a tender side on Saturday night during L.A. Fashion Weekend. Koffman kicked out seat-crashers to ensure press, colleagues and friends were taken care of, introduced the runway show, and, after the last model disappeared backstage, she proposed to her girlfriend, Raquel Castaneda, on the catwalk.
Koffman’s The Gallery showroom in Los Angeles produced four fashion shows within three days under the banner L.A. Fashion Weekend at Sunset Gower Studios. The event on Saturday, March 20 showcased a spectrum of different styles from the brands Ani, Urban Republic clothing, Raw 7, ABS by Allen Schwartz menswear and Dolce Vita. All the while, camera crews filmed Koffman's every move for a forthcoming reality show.
