TheFind Increases Its Ranking as a Shopping Search Destination
Mountain View, Calif.–based shopping website TheFind (www.thefind.com) has surpassed Yahoo! Shopping as one of the largest search engines for product discovery—ranking second, behind Google Product Search, according to recent data compiled by web-marketing firm comScore Inc.
TheFind and the shopping sites it powers saw between 2.3 and 2.7 average visits per visitor, compared with 1.9 average visits per visitor for the next-closest competitor.
“Our formula is pretty simple: Make it easy for people to find the things they want to buy and, without bias, show them every available purchasing option,” said Chief Executive Officer Siva Kumar in a statement. “When you do that, people come back because they both trust you and like what they find.”
TheFind is on track to become one of the fastest-growing search-and-comparison websites for products, with a growth rate of 175 percent year-over-year, according to online retail-service provider ChannelAdvisor.
TheFind also plans to acquire new hires in engineering and marketing that will nearly double the company’s size by the end of the year.—Connie Cho
