Fashion Market Northern California Sold Out Again in June
The upcoming run of Fashion Market Northern California has sold out its exhibition space for the June 26–29 run at the San Mateo County Event Center in San Mateo, Calif.
Highlighting the Fall II/Holiday season, the show will feature 200 exhibitors and more than 2,000 women’s apparel and accessories collections.
“We once again have a very full show, with a complete range of categories—from juniors to updated to contemporary to European lines and accessories in every category,” said Nancy Provda, president of FMNC’s board of directors, in her president’s message to buyers. Provda urged buyers to walk the entire show floor, which includes both long-standing exhibitors and companies new to the show.
Show exhibitors include Linea Domani, Liliana Castellanos, Nomadic Traders, Stop Staring!, Tianello, Mavi, Tresics, Papillon, XCVI and Weston Wear.
The show’s website, www.fashionmarketnorcal.com, features a revamped buyer-registration process and information about the exhibitors, area hotels and restaurants, and travel details.
Show organizers will host a mixer at the San Mateo Marriott on June 27 at 6:30 p.m.
Last season’s show opened amid heavy rain, which did not deter retailers, according to Provda, who said she was anticipating a strong turnout for the June show.
“Thanks to Mother Nature, we had downpours of rain at our April show, but we still had outstanding attendance, and the buzz was great,” she said. “Now it’s June, and we predict sun!”—Alison A. Nieder
