Under Armour Up
Baltimore-based athletic-apparel maker Under Armour Inc. reported second-quarter net revenue up 24 percent to $204.8 million and a 34 percent increase in apparel net revenue to $150.2 million. Under Armour Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Plank attributed the growth to three factors: a growing consumer brand awareness; understanding of athletes’ needs for technology, fit and design; and a growing awareness among female athletes.
