OC Swim Event Cancelled
OC Swim Show, a new event that was set to debut Aug. 12–13 at the St. Regis Hotel Resort and Spa in Dana Point, Calif., has been cancelled because of lack of corporate sponsorship, organizers said. “We are so disappointed,” said Laurie DiGiovanni, executive producer of the OC Swim Show. “The show had come a long way and had garnered the support of much of the swim industry. Unfortunately, we lost footing with corporate sponsorships and decided to postpone the show until it can be done at the caliber we wanted.”
Organized by Studio Eleven Live, an Orange County–based production company, the event was to include runway presentations from brands such as Tyler Rose, Ella Moss, Luxe, Vitamin A, Becca by Rebecca Virtue, B. Swim, Lucy Love, Sunsets, Beach Bunny Swimwear, Indah and Swim Systems.
DiGiovanni said she plans to reschedule OC Swim Show for the same time next year.—Erin Barajas
