North American Mill Group Returns to Texworld USA
The upcoming run of Texworld USA in New York once again features a group of North American textile and fiber makers exhibiting within the Lenzing Innovation Pavilion.
The North American suppliers join the exhibitors showcasing the latest textile, trim and fiber developments July 15–17 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. This year’s Lenzing Innovation Pavilion lineup includes two yarn spinners, Buhler Quality Yarns Corp. and Tuscarora Yarns; four knitters, SG Knits, Manoir, Laguna/Enviro Fabrics and Mansfield; and knitter and garment supplier FesslerUSA.
In total, Lenzing is housing 32 exhibitors in the Pavilion. The Austrian fiber maker and owner of the Tencel and Modal brands is highlighting several recent developments, including MicroTencel, Viloft and ProModal.
Jefferson, Ga.–based Buhler is showcasing its latest yarn developments, including MicroModal and MicroModal/Supima blends in lighter weights and slubs.
Mt. Pleasant, N.C.–based Tuscarora Yarns is featuring recycled denim products made with Modal, as well as a ProTura cotton/ProModal blend that works well for garment dyeing, and specialty blends in ProModal heathers, as well as novelty yarns with nubs, slubs and special-effects fibers.
Among Laguna’s products is a 4.5-oz. MicroTencel jersey made from Buhler’s yarns; lightweight, over-dyed piqueacute;s; and ProModal slub jerseys. The Los Angeles–based knit mill also offers a 60/40 Modal/polyester blend that can be heathered or sublimation- or burn-out dyed.
Canadian knitter Manoir specializes in organic cottons, natural fibers and novelty-yarn fabrics. For Texworld, the mill is bringing new sheer styles made from Modal.
Vernon, Calif.–based Mansfield is showing new Modal slubs and stripes, as well as ProModal fabrications and Modal/cotton blends.
Los Angeles–based SG Knits, a newcomer to the Lenzing Pavilion, is showing its collection, which includes recycled indigo and Modal-blend slub fabrics, as well as MicroTencel jersey and sheer fabrications.
Fessler is showcasing its knit fabrics, including fabrics made from MicroTencel; MicroModal; and Viloft, Lenzing’s thermal viscose fiber. Fessler’s offerings include fabrics for garment dyeing and piece dyeing. The Orwigsburg, Pa.–based company is also highlighting its garment-manufacturing capabilities, including design and patternmaking through knitting, cut-and-sew and packaging.
