Full disclosure: I’m totally knocking off The New York Times. They featured this website, Shortomatic.com, where you can put any image onto a boardshort. Imagine all the indecencies that those dirty-minded surfers are thinking of when they have carte blanche on crotch and rear printing real estate.
It’s like they are handing a closeted glue-sniffing kindergartener a fresh tube of Elmer’s. Or dropping off pyro-happy misfits in a desert park during a dry season drought with a box of matches and firecrackers. Calamity will occur. Here's a sample of one of the shorts printed with art by Ed Massey whose work you may recognize adorning lifeguard towers for the Portraits of Hope project. These shorts will be printed in a limited numbered edition of 150.]
