Voda Swim: A Line of Uplifting Swimwear
Fashion model Yulia Drummond has the perfect body. She’s tall, willowy and has high cheek bones.
But one thing Drummond is missing is an ample bust line, which doesn’t help when sporting swimwear. Tired of push-up bras with heavy underwiring, Drummond set out to create her own line of bikinis and tankinis that could do what nature didn’t. After many months of experimenting and going back to the drawing board, she finally came up with the patent-pending “Envy Push-Up” top, which uses a high-density material to help fill in and lift up. The material is so dense, it retains only 1 teaspoon of water when you swim, as opposed to other materials that can retain as much as a cup of water.
“I wanted to have a swimsuit that made you look sexy and gives you cleavage,” said the model, who was born in Kyrgyzstan, once part of the former Soviet Union.
Drummond’s line launched in June with several two-piece bikinis and one-piece tankinis that come in six prints and 10 solid colors, ranging from rock-star red to sapphire blue. She uses nylon spandex, which is soft to the touch, and nylon lining. Her hardware is 14-karat-gold-plated hoops.
Wholesale prices range from $26 to $37 per piece. For more information, call (213) 291-0959 or go to www.vodaswim.com.—Deborah Belgum
