Seattle-based specialty retailer Eddie Bauer is celebrating its 90th anniversary. Retailer Eddie Bauer opened Eddie Bauer’s Tennis Shop as an in-store shop within a gun shop in downtown Seattle in 1920, according to the company, which has released a timeline of Bauer history. Among the fun facts: In 1922, Bauer offered the first-ever 100 percent unconditional lifetime guarantee. He invented a new badminton shuttlecock in 1933 and the first down jacket in 1935.
