Nordstrom Rack Adds Southern California Store
Discount and off-price retailers are seeing positive growth these days as consumers hunt and peck for bargains.
With that in mind, the Nordstrom Rack is opening a new store at the South Bay Center, across the street from its sister shopping center, the South Bay Galleria, in Redondo Beach, Calif.
The 35,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in the fall of 2011. “We know we have lots of loyal customers in the South Bay area, and we’re excited to be able to serve them with a brand-new Nordstrom Rack,” said Scott Meden, Nordstrom Rack’s president.
This is the second new Nordstrom Rack to open in the Los Angeles area. On Oct. 14, a new Nordstrom Rack is scheduled to debut at the Lakewood Center in Lakewood, Calif.
Nordstrom Rack, which sells designer labels and other goods at a 30 percent to 70 percent discount, is a division of Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc.—Deborah Belgum
