Maybe it was while looking at the concentrated trade show calendar ahead that the folks at SLVDR were in the mood for work to be done and have it be Saturday already.
SLVDR’s Spring 2011 collection, recently shown at Class@ASR in San Diego and Capsule in Las Vegas, was based on a “weekender” wardrobe—the easy stuff you can grab in five minutes, cram into a shoulder bag then take off for a quick getaway from the daily grind.
Though this video shows the SLVDR team at work behind the scenes at the photo shoot for the latest lookbook, everything about the clothing spells day off: fun pops of color, pants rolled up at the ankle, a baseball tee and hooded jacket. We expect no less from designer Robert Myers, a veteran of the action-sports industry who lived his SoCal adolescence like an endless weekend at the beach, in the mountains and empty backyard pools.
