American Apparel Opens in Selfridges
Los Angeles–based American Apparel is opening an in-store shop in London’s tony Selfridges department store. The 700-square-foot, ground-floor, permanent shop is the first of its kind for American Apparel, which opened a free-standing store in Leeds, England, earlier this year. The London store will carry only women’s apparel, including socks, underwear and T-shirts. According to an American Apparel statement, the company has “curated about 100 Made in U.S.A. styles for this one-of-a-kind store.”—Alison A. Nieder
