Miss Sixty Closes Four West Coast Stores
Designer jeans brand Miss Sixty will close four of its West Coast stores, according to managers from the Italian brand’s California stores, which will remain in business.
The four Miss Sixty locations closing are in Los Angeles on Melrose Avenue; in San Francisco; Las Vegas; and Palo Alto, Calif. The Miss Sixty stores located in the South Coast Plaza retail center in Costa Mesa, Calif., and Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, Calif., will continue to do business. The closed stores are scheduled to relocate eventually, the managers said.
Other news reports quoted an anonymous Miss Sixty store employee stating the Melrose store will relocate to the Beverly Center luxury mall. A Beverly Center representative could not comment on the mall’s leasing issues.
Italian-based Miss Sixty SpA closed its American wholesale operations and showrooms in 2008. Requests for comment were referred to Sixty Canada Inc., which is based in Montreal. Miss Sixty’s North American representative Deanna Chow did not return calls by press time.—Andrew Asch
