Upcoming Seminar Talks Web 3.0

The American Apparel Producers' Network will host a seminar called “Web 3.0 and Social Media for the B2B Textile/Apparel Supply Chain” during the Sept. 30–Oct. 2 run of Los Angeles International Textile Show and Material World West Technology Solutions.

The speakers will include Kurt Cavano, CEO of TradeCard, and Bill Palmer, lead brand architect with Activate Media Group. Cavano will focus on reviewing Web. 1.0 and Web 2.0 to lead up to discussions on the Web 3.0, which will include a talk on Twitter, Facebook and other “free software as a solution” tools to leverage B2B business. Palmer will focus on maximizing Web sites through search engine optimization and using the Web as a toolkit and strategy to build social and business connections, share information, and build community.

AAPN is known for its roundtable discussion groups, and this session will be interactive. AAPN will also be using its own newly relaunched Web site as an example of how companies can control information about themselves by actively sending out press releases and publishing feature stories about their companies, according to AAPN Executive Director Sue Strickland.

The seminar will take place on Sept. 29 at the California Market Center from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. To register for the event click here. For more information, e-mail source@aapnetwork.net.
