Skater and Surfer Playlist
Producers of the ASR fashion show took a stroll through the record store aisles—or in this digital era, the iTunes store plus some songs I recognized from Rock Band—for inspiration this season.
The “Fashionably Loud” runway show presented by Seventeen magazine was styled to a musical soundtrack starting with the 1970s tune, “Mississippi Queen,” into the 1980s with “We Got The Beat,” then the 1990s with “Teen Spirit” and Smashing Pumpkins. Today’s Beyonce and Lady Gaga served as the muse for the finale group of one-piece swimsuits that bared miles of legs, like these pop stars' stage costumes.
